Flax is a hands-on material research.In collaboration with SwissFlax, the project explores short flax fibers that are typically sorted out in industrial fabric production.Through a phenomenological process, the fibers are heat-pressed using only water as a matrix — resulting in a 100% mono-material without additives. When pressed into shape, the fibers bond into a fleece-like structure, opening up possibilities for diverse product applications.
